Getting on Payroll and Staying Current

11/12/03

Dear CA Staff,

Welcome! Below is a list of steps that will make your employment at Cal Adventures both fun and hassle free. Follow these steps below and all will be well! Feel free to call if you have any questions.

1). Get your First Aid and CPR certifications in order. If yours have expired, sign up for Extended Wilderness Care or Wilderness First Responder with CA Reception at 510-642-4000. CA staff pay $153 for WFA and $414 for WFR. Both are excellent courses. Send copies of your current certs to us here at the office ASAP.

2). Check with Personnel and get yourself current with the Department of Rec Sports. If you have not received a paycheck in the past 3 months, you have been separated from the payroll list.  Appointment times are scheduled at standard times, however you must contact Personnel first and receive a confirmation prior to the appointment.  DO NOT SHOW UP WITHOUT A CONFIRMATION!  Call 510-643-6726 to speak with Lauren, Tina, Amanda or Tori to check your status and to make an appointment to sign forms.  Be sure to bring two forms of ID-- driver's license, school ID, Social Security number (Social Security card not necessary), or Passport.
