STAFF DEVELOPMENT FUNDS
This year we applied for and received a $5000 grant for Staff Development.  This grant is courtesy of the California Department of Boating and Waterways and is earmarked for the Cal Adventures Boating Programs only.  These include:  Rafting, Rowing, Sailing, Sea Kayaking and Windsurfing.  We have also recently obtained a donation of a Mitsubishi Montero which we will sell.  The proceeds form that sale will supply Staff Development funds for the remaining programs including: Climbing, Backpacking and Teambuilding.  Each Head Guide is allocated $200.  Each Core Staff person is allocated $62.75.  The process for accessing these funds is as follows:
 

1. Confirm your HG or Core Staff status by participating in program scheduling and trainings

2. Select a course to spend your money on: Swift Water Rescue**, ACA Certification, US Sailing Certification, Wilderness First Aid, etc…

3. Apply in writing to Matt Gingo for the money.

4. Upon approval, pay for the event.

5. Submit a receipt to Matt Gingo as proof of payment.

6. Upon receipt of a receipt, we process a reimbursement in the amount of your Staff Development money through the Department of Rec Sports Business Office.

7. You will get a check in the mail.
